“I Don’t Really Shower”: Shaquille O’Neal Admits to ‘Disgusting’ Truth Months After Calling Out Dennis Rodman for the Same

Shaquille O’Neal recently made an appearance on the now viral show, The Really Good Podcast. On it, he discussed a variety of different topics with the host, Bobbi Althoff. The two bonded over their discussion, and early on in the interview, Bobbi even complimented O’Neal for his cool sunglasses. This led to him revealing a disgusting fact that most fans would have likely rather not heard. And, it is that the four-time NBA Champion doesn’t really shower.

This, needless to say, is a rather hypocritical statement from ‘the Big Diesel’. After all, it was just a few months ago when he made a massive proclamation. He announced, that Dennis Rodman was the worst teammate he ever had. While his eccentric personality and popularity were among the reasons he didn’t like him, he also revealed another. The fact that ‘the Worm’ never showered after games, was something Shaq was never on board with.

Shaquille O’Neal reveals disgusting fact about himself claiming he doesn’t shower anymore

Appearing on The Really Good Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal sported an incredible look. Wearing a classy collard t-shirt, and some pants, Shaq looked good. But, what really made the look pop was his off-beat eyewear. Sunglasses, that he admitted to Bobbi Althoff, that he never takes off. The statement left the host understandably confused.

In her state of confusion, she asked the Hall of Famer if this included to shower. It is here that Shaq gave a response that likely left many disgusted. He revealed that he does not shower that much anymore. A shocking revelation that led to some interesting banter between the host and her guest.

Althoff commented that she did think the room smelled a little bit. To this, Shaq asked her to confirm if he smells like roses. As expected, she was amused and responded with a curt “mhmm”. This led to another revelation, as he claimed to like wearing “old lady” perfume.

Shaq: “I don’t really shower!”

Bobbi: “Ever?”

Shaq: “No!”

Bobbi: “I can kinda tell. Smells a little bit in here!”

Shaq: “I smell like roses right?”

Bobbi: “Mhmm”

Shaq: Thank you! I like wearing old lady perfume!”

It certainly was a hilarious part of the interview, attention-grabbing too, given how early on in the show it took place. The discussion set the tone, as the two shared a fun and lovely discussion, that was, albeit a tad bit awkward at times. Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that Shaq left quite the impression on Bobbi Althoff, who probably didn’t come into the interview hoping to learn about the Big Fella’s showering habits.

Despite claiming he never showers, Shaq once revealed a hilarious shower story from his days on the Miami Heat

Shaquille O’Neal may not shower anymore, but that wasn’t the case back in his playing days. In fact, he once revealed his favorite moment during his time with the Miami Heat. And, to everyone’s surprise, it involved fighting his former teammate Dorrell Wright while in the shower naked.

While there is no physical proof of this fight, it must have been quite the scene. No one expected the two to go at it, especially when Wright’s opponent was a naked, 7’1″, 325-pound Shaq. It was so weird that even Udonis Haslem, a locker room leader for the Heat, refused to break it up.

One can only assume the extent of the mental scarring Heat players had to go home with that day, especially Wright. Nevertheless, it has been years since the incident. And, it’s likely that many, like Shaq, look back on it as a fond memory.
