“Dennis Rodman Never Showered After 30 Rebounds”: Shaquille O'Neal And Robert Horry Hilariously Berate Lakers Forward For His Avid Club Tendencies

Dennis Rodman is one of the most eccentric characters to set foot on the NBA hardwood. While we are aware that the former Chicago Bulls legend was a womanizer, one would expect him to be hygienic. However, Shaquille O’Neal and Robert Horry recently disclosed that their former teammate would never take showers after the games and would straight go to the clubs.

While The Worm was a defensive delight on the court, the off-court antics are what made him a peculiar character. From taking trips to Las Vegas in the midst of the NBA Finals series to wooing several women, Rodman was a pretty free-spirited individual. As cool as Rodman seemed, his teammates recently disclosed a few secrets of his that may be slightly embarrassing.

Dennis Rodman would go to clubs after games without taking showers

Former teammates during his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, Shaq and Horry exposed Dennis for his lack of personal hygiene. In the recent episode of NBA on TNT, Ernie Johnson asked Shaq, Horry, and Kenny Smith to name the teammate who took the quickest showers.

While writing down “Rodman” on their slates, they revealed how the 5-time NBA champ would not bathe. Further, O’Neal disclosed that Dennis the Menace would directly go to the clubs after recording 30 rebounds in a game… without taking a bath.

This isn’t the first time we are learning about Rodman’s unhygienic practices. In an older podcast appearance, the Big Aristotle revealed that the 7-time rebound champ would be with some of the “baddest women”, despite not taking baths.

“When he play with us, I’ve seen this dude play a full game, don’t take a shower, go to the club and some of the baddest women I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Despite all the sweat and disgusting odor, it’s so impressive that the 2-time All-Star was able to hang around with so many women.

“Worst teammate? Dennis Rodman”: Shaquille O’Neal

Prior to the commencement of the 1998-1999 season, with the Lakers acquiring Dennis Rodman, every analyst and enthusiast expected the LAL frontcourt pairing to be lethal. However, the two superstars never got along too well.

Even though Diesel was an admirer of Rodman’s work on the court, he ended up naming the latter as the worst teammate he ever had. Explaining how the 2-time Defensive Player of the Year made things hard for his teammates, Shaq spoke about Rodman’s behavior during a podcast appearance.

“Worst teammate? Dennis Rodman. He was a great player, but he made it hard. Like when you try to corral the guys together and the people above you letting this one guy do whatever he wants. So we had to be there an hour before the game. He’d come in fifteen minutes before the game eating chicken and rice. While the coaches are talking, he would jump in the shower. Cold shower. Come and give you 15-20 rebounds.”

Hearing this story, we have to give huge props to Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson, and the Bulls for handling all of Rodman’s outbursts.
