"I forgive him": LeBron James Gives Austin Reaves Props and Takes Jab at the Latter's 'Kobe Bryant Favoritism'

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers picked up a crucial win tonight. They are now back up to a .500 record. And it looks as though they will make the play-in tournament. Tonight, the talking points were LeBron James’ return, Anthony Davis‘ fiery performance, and Austin Reaves doing the “too small” gesture on Patrick Beverley.

Yes, the latter almost feels gimmicky. And for the large part, it absolutely was. Patrick Beverley is the type of player that relies on antics to throw you off your game. It works.

But this time around, he wasn’t effective, and late in the fourth quarter when the Lakers were piling on the hurt, Austin Reaves made a beautiful floater over Pat Bev. Immediately after, he let him that he was “too small”.

That made LeBron James happy. So much so that he is willing to forgive Austin for some rather questionable actions back in the day.

“I forgive him”: LeBron James is ready to requite Austin Reaves after he did the “too small” celebration on Pat Bev

Just a few days ago, when LeBron returned Patrick Beverley scored on him and pulled off the “too small” celebration. Austin Reaves returned the favor tonight. Lakers superstar LeBron James had a few thankful words for his teammate.

When asked, LeBron had this to say: “That AR always got my back. Always. Even though he loved Kobe back in the day more than me. I forgive him.”. It was all smiles and laughter as LeBron pulled Austin’s leg.

He took a jab at Reaves for supporting Kobe more than James back in the day. An action that is visible when you pull up Reaves’ social media.

Austin Reaves used to post anti-LeBron propaganda on his social media back in the day

Yes, true story, Austin used to post pictures that were aimed specifically at James’ inability to win. And it went viral a few weeks ago.

Of course, LeBron saw it and as a result, tonight he HAD to take a jab back at Reaves.

We don’t fault Austin, back in the day, Bryant was far bigger than LeBron. Only now thanks to his numerous exploits and his long career, James has risen in status.

It looks like all is good in Laker nation. A.500 record and the 8th seed in the West currently, its finally time for some sunshine in the sunshine state.
