“I’d a grown man diving at my leg for a loose ball”: LeBron James takes shots at Solomon Hill for injuring him
Lakers star LeBron James may have returned from injury, but he still holds a grudge over Solomon Hill, who caused his injury.
It is no secret that the LA Lakers have been far from fortunate this season. Early on in the season, Anthony Davis injured his calf and didn’t get back on the court for a little over 2 months. But to make matters worse, during this time LeBron James went down with an injury as well.
The King’s right ankle had been a bit iffy since the very beginning of the season when he tweaked it against the Clippers. However, he still chose to play in every game for the team, until things went bad in a game against the Atlanta Hawks.
In this game, early in the second quarter, the ball was knocked loose. LeBron James ran for it, but Hawks star Solomon Hill went a step further. He dived towards the ball. And while it demonstrated how much he wanted it, it proved to be detrimental towards James.
Hill’s dive caused the Lakers star to suffer a high ankle sprain on the same one previously mentioned. And while he has finally recovered from it, it appears he is far from forgiving the man that caused his absence.

LeBron James throws some shade at Hawks star Solomon Hill during a recent interview
With James having returned, the Lakers were in the middle of a very good run. However, the team’s performances during his absence, eventually made it impossible for them to get out of the play-in tournament.
The King has been very vocal on his thoughts about the concept, and they are clearly not positive ones. So, many expected the player to partially blame the Atlanta Hawks for the predicament he and his team are in right now.
And well, in a recent interview, he more or less confirmed that as Lakers reporter Mike Trudell revealed the following.
LeBron said he was playing some of the best ball of his career before the ankle injury.
“I had a grown man diving at my leg for a loose ball.”
Said there is frustration about what could have been that he’s tried not to focus upon. But defending title obviously the big goal.

We think it’s safe to say Solomon Hill will not be receiving Christmas cards from the James family anytime soon. But it all needs to be in the past now for the franchise. No matter what their situation now, their eyes need to squarely be on another NBA championship.
