"I'll Punch Scottie Pippen In The Oesophagus": Michael Jordan Comparison Had Shaquille O'Neal Wanting To Threaten Larsa Pippen’s Ex-Husband

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen won 6 NBA titles during their time at the Chicago Bulls together. However, the two have had their fair share of issues since Jordan’s “The Last Dance” came out in 2020. In his 2021 book “Unguarded,” Pippen claimed that he was a better teammate than Jordan. And in a GQ interview, he said that he was the better player. When Shaquille O’Neal found out about Scottie Pippen’s claims, he responded in a big way on “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” in November 2021.

Scottie Pippen was married to American TV personality Larsa Pippen. O’Neal talked about her husband and claimed that he would punch Scottie Pippen in the throat for trying to sell his book.

Shaquille O’Neal had a hilarious response to Scottie Pippen’s claim about Michael Jordan

In his memoir, Pippen had made many claims about Jordan, and had said that he was determined to portray himself as “larger than life.” Furthermore, Pippen had said that the miniseries was aimed at reducing the importance of the Bulls’ other players while highlighting Michael Jordan’s.

During the promotions, Pippen went a step further and said that he was as good a player as Michael Jordan. The now 57-year-old claimed that only one player could take home the MVP, which is why it was always Jordan who got the individual awards.

In response, Shaquille O’Neal hilariously shut down Scottie Pippen. O’Neal claimed that Pippen probably wanted to sell his book, which was released on 9th November 2021:

“He didn’t say that. He never said that. If that man say that in front of me, I’mma hit him right in his esophagus. Bro, do not finish that sentence. He’s trying to, well, I don’t wanna put words in his mouth, I think he’s trying to sell his book.”

A no-holes-barred response from Shaq, who absolutely loved MJ. And moreover, Scottie’s response was seen with a tinge of cowardice.

Shaquille O’Neal believes Michael Jordan is the one true GOAT

Shaquille O’Neal has suggested several times in the past that he thinks Jordan was the greatest of all time. Recently in May, O’Neal posted a long Instagram story summarizing Michael Jordan’s overall achievements, claiming that he had all the skills that some of the best players in the world had as sole attributes. And he possessed all of it alone.

Back in 2015, O’Neal had gotten into a feud with Scottie Pippen, who had confessed his irk at his earlier comments. Shaq had claimed that the “5 best Lakers” would best the “5 best Bulls” by 50 points. In response, O’Neal claimed in his podcast that he was always a better player than Scottie Pippen:

“He will always be under me. Every now and then he will rise to the occasion to get to the same level as the bridge but when reality kicks in, I’m bridge, he is water, he is under me. Scottie Pippen can’t disrespect me.

Shaquille O’Neal is convinced Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time. Simultaneously, he believes he was a much better, and more dominant NBA star than Pippen ever was, despite him winning 6 rings.
