"I'm happy for this black man": Dwyane Wade praises James Harden for being able to force Nets trade after triple-double debut

Dwyane Wade is firmly in the James Harden camp of being able to shape the destiny of your career, and he expressed this sentiment on Twitter.

After around a 2-month battle to move away from Houston, Harden succeeded in forcing a trade this week. After two consecutive blowouts to the Lakers at home, Harden felt it was high time to make a public statement. He received a ton of flak for saying that his teammates weren’t good enough to win a championship.

But his move, bad as it was for PR, piled enough pressure on the Rockets’ front office to move things along. Bids came in from Philly and Brooklyn. The latter won the bidding war with their entire future arsenal of picks.

The trade has now made the Nets the de facto favorites to make it out of the East. LeBron James might have to beat a Big 3 once again in order to win a 5th NBA title.

Dwyane Wade speaks up on the James Harden trade

The Miami Heat legend very well knows how much bad PR a superteam can get initially. He accompanied LeBron James in perhaps the most controversial free agent signing ever – the formation of Heatles.

Wade was clear in his opinion about Harden’s measures: “Let’s talk about this narrative: James Harden looks happy and there’s no price tag for that feeling. Could he have handle things better. YES! but couldn’t we all. Im happy for this black man.”

Such a show of support from a legend of the sport could only boost a player’s morale. The James Harden trade is still young. Once Kyrie Irving returns to the fray, we’ll see the true capabilities of the Nets. On paper, they have the best offensive Big 3 ever.
