Is Anthony Davis playing tonight vs San Antonio Spurs? Lakers release injury report for star forward ahead of game against DeMar DeRozan and co

Anthony Davis has been listed as questionable for tonight’s Lakers game against the Spurs with an adductor strain.

The Lakers huffed and puffed to victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in their previous game. Up against a team without its two best players, the Lakers were terrible on offense and only passable on defense. They also benefited a ton from referees swallowing their whistles for the Grizzlies.

Ultimately, LeBron James put the game beyond their reach with a fadeaway jumper over Dillon Brooks. James flexed on the young gun as he went back on defense, prompting Skip Bayless to remind him how little Brooks is. Both James and Anthony Davis had 26 points on the night.

AD has already been rested for a couple of games this season. With the Lakers sitting atop the Western Conference standings at a 6-2 record, they might choose to rest their star big man tonight.

Anthony Davis injury report released by the Lakers for Spurs game

The Lakers staff has revealed that Davis is listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Spurs. Davis rested on the first night of a back-to-back against Spurs, so tonight could be going the same way.

The Spurs got off to a good start, but have since fallen off the pace a bit. They will need this W at the Staples Center to get to a .500 record, now that they stand at 3-4.

The Lakers can afford to rest AD without losing much on either end of the floor. LeBron has more than capable rim-runners to his side in Markieff Morris and Montrezl Harrell. The likes of Talen Horton-Tucker and Kyle Kuzma will also be able to step up big time. Overall, it’s going to be a fascinating contest between the Spurs’ mid-range heavy offense and the Lakers led by LeBron.
