“Is Damian Lillard paving his way to LA and LeBron James?”: Questions arise about the Blazers’ superstar’s future as sources share inside information regarding an impending trade request
Speculations regarding Blazers superstar Damian Lillard reach an all-time high, as rumors indicate claim a trade request isn’t too far away
Since the season is almost done and dusted, it is time for another offseason. While there wouldn’t be as many big names as the 2019 off-season, the 2021 offseason is believed to be more trade-centric. There are quite a few destinations that are almost at a championship level, requiring an additional star. On the other hand, there are quite a few stars that have been disappointed by their team over and over.
One of the names that has been topping the rumor mill is Damian Lillard. The crafty floor scoring machine just turned 31 yesterday and is in his prime. The Blazers’ superstar has been performing at a high level for a few seasons now and has been trusting his team to provide him with a capable cast. However, despite his unwavering loyalty, Portland hasn’t been able to attract the support that Lillard needs.
Trade rumors: Damian Lillard to request a trade in the coming days
When one thinks of current players that have been loyal to their teams, Stephen Curry leads the list, with Damian Lillard at a close second. While Curry and the Warriors have achieved the highest of successes, the same cant be said for the Blazers and Lillard.
After a tremendous season, Damian Lillard and the Blazers got knocked out in the first round for the second straight year. Ever since the Blazers got knocked out, there have been a lot of rumors and noises about Lillard and his future with the team. A source close to the team just updated and said that Lillard is expected to put forward a trade request soon.

Damian Lillard has been giving cryptic messages with his Instagram posts and tweets, but this seems solid. The biggest question is if the Blazers agree to trade their trump card, what team can put forward a lucrative package in exchange. While the Lakers and a team-up with LeBron James is the most hyped idea, the practical possibility of the same seems very low.
