Is Damian Lillard Playing Tonight Vs The Mavericks? Blazers Superstar’s Availability Following Win Over Dallas
Damian Lillard and the Portland Trailblazers started the season off as what looked like a top 2 team in the Western Conference. Their solid 10-4 record was proof of this but since then, in true Blazers fashion, have began to middle once again. After their win over the Dallas Mavericks last night, they have brought their record up to 20-22.
Lillard, who was out for most of last season due to an abdominal injury and subsequent surgery, has been playing like an All-Star for Portland. He dropped 50 points on the Cleveland Cavaliers but would lose the bout after leading for close to 90% of the game.
After a 5-game losing streak, the Blazers came out with a vengeance last night against Luka Doncic and the Mavericks. They benefitted from Doncic having the worst game of his season with only 15 points while Dame scored 36 and dropped 10 dimes.
Will Damian Lillard play tonight against the Mavericks?
Lillard suffered an ankle sprain not too long ago during the Blazers game against the Orlando Magic. He would finish the game off but was put on the injury list as questionable. However, he played the very next game and dropped 50 points so it seems like that ankle was fine.
However, with tonight’s game being the second night of a back to back against the Mavericks, with that ankle sprain looming over him, it’ll be interesting to see if Chauncey Billups decides to play him or not.
Currently, according to CBS Sports, Damian Lillard is not on the injury list as only Nassir Little and Justice Winslow are. Despite it being a game within 24 hours of the one prior, it’s safe to say that Dame playing would be a safe bet to make.
