Is LeBron James playing tonight vs Mavericks? Lakers release ankle injury report ahead of Christmas Day game against Luka Doncic and co

Lakers’ superstar LeBron James seems prepared to play the Christmas night matchup against the Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks make their way to Los Angeles tonight, as they face the Lakers for their Christmas matchup. The Los Angeles Lakers would be looking to set their record right, after their opening night loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Lakers fans have a cause of concern waking up today, whether LBJ would take the floor tonight or not? King James rolled his ankle early into the 4th Quarter in their matchup against the Clippers. If what LeBron James says is to be believed, he would definitely not miss the game tonight.

LeBron James has never missed a Christmas Game, and he isn’t planning to start now

In his 18 year career in the NBA, LeBron James’ team has taken the floor 14 times, and tonight would be the 15th. Out of the 14 games, LeBron and co. have won 9. He has never missed a game on Christmas Day, and is not plann9gn to change that number today.

If LeBron James and the Lakers manage to best Luka Doncic and his Mavericks, LBJ would tie the record for the most Christmas Day wins recorded by a player. He would tie Dwyane Wade for the top spot, who currently boasts a 10-3 record on Christmas days.

Incidentally, James had the first major injury of his career on a Christmas Day game in 2018. That derailed the Lakers from their 3rd-seeded standing at the time.

The Mavericks take on the Lakers at Staples Center at 9 PM ET for the fourth match in the 5 match Christmas slate.
