LeBron James has been nursing a groin injury for the last two season and it has once again creeped up during the ongoing series vs Rockets.

LeBron and the Lakers did not have their best outing of the playoffs in Game 1 against the Rockets. Rockets managed to keep the King and his squad at bay, winning the opener 112-97.
Game 1 also triggered LeBron’s groin pain again. He did not seem bothered on the court, finishing the night with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Off the court, the King did seem bothered by the groin pain.

This is the same right groin pain is the same that kept James sidelined during the last four seeding games and that had ruled him out of the season last time round. Even though he had been listed as questionable for Game 1 as well, LBJ played 37 minutes.
Is LeBron James playing tonight vs Rockets?
According to Lakers’ injury report, LeBron James is listed as probable for Game 2 against the Rockets.
Even though LeBron has been on the list plenty of times these Playoffs, he hasn’t missed a game yet. This leads us to believe that the King would take the floor tonight against Harden and Brodie.
However, the groin injury is still a concern for him and that is a worrying sign for Lakers fans. If the Lakers want to win Game 2 and go deep into the playoffs, LeBron’s groin injury will be a deciding factor.
Lakers vs Rockets Game 2, what can be expected?
As LeBron mentioned in his post-game chat, Rockets and their speed caught the Lakers off-guard. He mentioned that they would come prepared tonight to face them, as they got a ‘feel’ for the Rockets.
The Lakers as a whole would need to step up and play better basketball. Turnovers really hurt the Lakers. They were also not able to capitalize on their height advantage, letting Houston match to their number of rebounds.

As for the Rockets, they would be prepared to see a different Lakers on the floor tonight. They would be a lot sharper, and they would try to make it about the height once again, to counter the Houston small ball. Coach D’Antoni and his Rockets seemed sharp in Game 1, and if they continue to do what they did, this game should go in their favor.
