The Golden State Warriors are preparing to win the fifth game in a trot. The Dubs face the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, for their second last game of the regular season. The Warriors sit on the 8th spot in the West and have sealed a spot of themselves in the play-in games. They have a tied record with the 9th seeded Memphis Grizzlies. They face the Grizzlies for the final game of the regular season. That game would ultimately decide who retains the 8th seed.
Stephen Curry has had a tremendous season so far and is leading the league in scoring. He has a 0.35 point per game lead over Bradley Beal, who is a very close second for the scoring title. However, he isn’t a full 100%, as he is still nursing his tailbone injury. Curry had suffered the injury on 18th March, which had him sidelined for two weeks.
Is Stephen Curry playing tonight?
Since the final seeding of the season would get decided on Sunday, the Warriors have decided to rest three of their heavy rotation players. According to Anthony Slater, the Warriors are resting Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green. Curry is nursing his tailbone still, and Green is suffering from knee troubles. This break should be a good chance for them to rest up and heal.
Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins are out tonight against the Pelicans, per source. Banged up at the end of a long season and no stakes on the line. Memphis resting all their main guys tonight, as well. Both teams gearing up for Sunday’s finale.

The Warriors played six games in the last nine days, and the players need a break before the key decider game on Sunday. Since the outcome of today’s game is almost of no use going into Sunday, both Memphis and Golden State have decided to rest their key players. Whoever wins the game on Sunday would end up facing LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers(most probably) for the 7th-8th seed play-in game.
