"In my opinion, Stephen Curry is the MVP": Draymond Green patiently breaks down exactly why Steph is the league's most valuable player

Stephen Curry has been having a season for the ages, and Draymond Green wants his teammate to get the MVP praise he deserves.

Undoubtedly, Stephen Curry is the best shooter in league history. The man has single-handedly reformed how modern basketball is played. With the way he has been using the three-pointer, Curry has inspired young players to widen their range.

Due to his incredible ability to knock down long-distance jumpers, we have seen the Golden State Warriors guard been double, triple and even quadruple-teamed.

Playing without the likes of his Splash Brother – Klay Thompson, most of the offensive toll has fallen on Chef Curry’s shoulders. And boy, has Steph performed whenever his team needed to count on him.

The Baby Faced Assassin is amidst the best season of his 12-year career. He is currently having a campaign better than his famous 2016 unanimous MVP year.

On his way to clinching his second-ever scoring title, the 7-time All-Star has been averaging a career-high 31.8 points, 5.7 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game on 48/42/91 shooting splits.

“Stephen Curry deserves to be in the MVP conversation”: Draymond Green

Many analysts and fans are choosing Philly’s Joel Embiid or Denver’s Nikola Jokic as their MVP pick. While Curry is having a career-best season, he just hasn’t been amidst the MVP conversation.

Warriors forward Draymond Green believes that the GSW sharpshooter has earned his rights to be mentioned in the MVP debate. While picking Steph as his MVP pick, Draymond further added how the team needs to be inspired by their leader and help him win games. Green explained:

“S***, in my opinion, he’s the MVP. So for him to be having an MVP type of year, you can’t just go out there and let go of the rope. You’ve got to get your a** out there and f**king help all you can to help win games to make sure that he’s in that conversation, because he deserves to be in that conversation. So his approach, one thousand percent, has helped me in my approach.”

The 2018 NBA champions have secured a spot in the newly added play-in tournament. With a current record of 37-33, the Warriors have to survive 2 games in order to finish the season with the 8th seed. Clearly, Steph has been the go-to player for the Warriors, but his remaining teammates need to rise up in order to secure a playoffs berth.
