"LeBron James is laughing from the sidelines": NBA Twitter reacts as Rajon Rondo hilariously sheds some tears upon hearing Anthony Davis and LBJ missed him last season

Rajan Rondo, a 4x NBA All-Star and an NBA champion has had a stellar career and is enjoying his twilight years with the Lakers.

Rajan Rondo played his first game yesterday, since March. He had been sidelined with back and thumb injury since before the restart.

Rondo did not have a very stellar game in his return, but he wasn’t exactly bad as well. He finished with 8 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block in his 25 minutes on the floor.

Rondo understandably showed some rust. He hadn’t played in almost 6 months. Rajan would need atleast a game or two more to get in sync with his team again.

“Beneficial for us to have him back”, Davis appreciates Rondo’s return

Game 1 wasn’t the best outing for the Lakers, but Davis still sees a win. According to Davis, Rondo’s return helps the team a lot and takes quite some load off Bron’s shoulder.

“Good for us because it kind of gives Bron a break,” Davis said mentions in a conference. “He’s trying to make plays for others, be in attack mode. So it gives Bron, it gives him a break with Rondo on the floor, let Bron kind of be that guy who can catch it and work on attacking. And Rondo’s able to get into the paint and make plays in response, so it’s beneficial to us to have him on the floor.”

How do Lakers plan to handle the Rockets?

The Lakers would be glad to have Rondo back on the floor and ready to play.

The Rockets came out in the series with all guns blazing. Harden, who wasn’t the most efficient in the series against OKC, shot 60% from the floor, scoring 35 big points. Russ had 24 points and 9 rebounds, Gordon contributed with another 23 points as well. The Lakers duo combined for just 45 points.

Lakers would have to regroup and think of a way to use their size advantage over the Rockets. They need to gather all their resources to beat the the Rockets. The Rockets had beaten and taken away the said advantage in game 1, it would be interesting to see how the Lakers bounce back.
