"It's killing Klay Thompson not to be out there": Warriors star has a heart breaking reaction as Kevin Durant and co are blowing Stephen Curry's team off the court

Warriors’ star Klay Thompson appears distraught by the fact he cannot take the floor against Kevin Durant and his Nets team.

The Brooklyn Nets visited Chase Center for the first time this season, and they beat the Golden State Warriors. They won the contest 134-117.

For the Nets, there was no individual stand out performance tonight, but it was a whole team effort. They had six players scoring in double digits, and each starter had 15 or more points.

For the Warriors, Stephen Curry led the way with a game-high 27 points. Along with Curry, the Warriors had four other players in double digits as well. Kelly Oubre Jr. chipped in with a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double.

Klay Thompson has a saddening reaction to the Warriors’ blowout loss

The 2020-2021 NBA season was the year the Warriors were supposed to make a comeback. After being in 5 straight NBA Finals, the 2019-20 season had the Warriors playing without any of their stars.

This resulted in the Warriors finishing with a league-worst record. Stephen Curry is back, and he has been balling, landing himself on the MVP contenders list. Klay Thompson was to make his comeback from his ACL injury this season.

But 4 weeks before the season began, Klay got injured in a training session. Upon further evaluation, it was found that he had suffered an Achilles injury, which would sideline him for the 2020-21 season.

After the surgery and being away for a few weeks, Klay Thompson is a sight for sore eyes as he is present in all the Dubs home games. While watching the game against the Nets last night, there were moments where Klay could not hide his agony for not being on the floor.

Klay Thompson’s rehab has been going well, and if things stay their course, the Warriors shall have a healthy and ready Klay for the next season.
