Ja Morant NBA Snitch Hotline: Grizzlies star explains if he would rat players out on the NBA hotline
The NBA Snitch hotline has been in massive discussion over the last few days and Ja Morant confirms if he would rat players out.
The anonymous snitch hotline set up by the NBA at the Orlando Bubble has gathered quite a lot of criticism over the past few weeks. Memphis Grizzlies rookie star Ja Morant is the latest to comment on the hotline that is used to snitch on other players.
The hotline has been put in to keep a check on the players so that they follow all the protocols put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many players have already been reported on and growing frustrated by the hotline.
Ja Morant on NBA Snitch Hotline
The rookie sensation has said that he won’t be ratting out his teammates or anyone else at the Bubble through the snitch hotline.
“I don’t do none of that telling,” Morant said.
“I don’t know the hotline number or none of that. Guys go about certain stuff the way they want to but me, I ain’t see nothing, hear nothing and I ain’t saying nothing.” he added

Morant said that he is aware of the protocols put in place but said that he won’t be reporting on anyone any time soon.
Morant’s words show that he is one of several players who are unhappy with the use of the hotline. Rudy Gobert and Spencer Dinwiddie (who isn’t playing at the Bubble) also criticized the installation of the hotline.
Shams Charania, also reported that “multiple tips” have been recorded on the hotline.

Lakers center Dwight Howard was the latest NBA player who got told on through the hotline for not wearing a mask. Sacramento King’s big man Richaun Holmes crossed the NBA’s campus line. Houston Rockets forward Bruno Caboclo broke quarantine by leaving his room during the quarantine period. They both also got told on through the hotline.
Now, while players are not quite happy with the NBA hotline, it does serve a good purpose. If multiple players aren’t following the Bubble protocols, it could lead to an outbreak of the coronavirus within the Bubble. And if that happens, the NBA restart would be jeopardised big time.
What’s next for Ja Morant and Memphis Grizzlies?
The Grizzlies travel to Orlando occupying the last playoff spot from the Western Conference. They will have to battle it out with a number of teams vying for that final spot.
Morant in his rookie season is averaging 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. He has been a bright and fruitful addition to the NBA. He is currently the favorite to win the Rookie of the Season award.
