“James Wiseman reminds me of Giannis Antetokounmpo”: Steve Kerr explains why Warriors rookie is so similar to the Bucks star
Steve Kerr sings James Wiseman’s praise and says that he reminds him of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Golden State Warriors started their 2020-21 NBA campaign off with two ugly blowout losses against the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks.
However, after late game heroics from Damion Lee and two consecutive 30+ point games from Steph Curry, the Dubs seemed to have somewhat found their footing.
Though their current 2 game win streak comes at the hands of the Bulls and the Pistons, this could provide the Warriors players with confidence to carry them through for the next few games.
Another reason as to why Warriors can breathe a sigh of relief, is due to their 2020 lottery pick James Wiseman living up to the hype surrounding his name.
Steve Kerr draws a comparison between James Wiseman and Giannis Antetokounmpo
James Wiseman has been showing up and showing out for the Warriors in the first 4 games of his professional career. He has proven that he can be quite multifaceted on the offensive end of the floor.
Whether it’s rolling hard to the rim or even spreading the floor to knock down some shots from beyond the arc, Wiseman has a deep bag.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was especially impressed by James Wiseman last night, and it was due to a play that Wiseman had. He swatted a shot on the defensive end of the floor and dunked on the other end, while handling the ball through traffic on his way to the rim.

Steve Kerr immediately drew comparison to another player in the league who produces similar plays. Kerr said that play reminded him of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
James Wiseman most certainly has the physicality and athleticism to develop his game into something that could resembles Giannis’s.
