NBA players more often than not have a litany of tattoos on their bodies and Jayson Tatum is no exception. There’s different types of tattoo styles that the players indulge in, with it ranging from your entire body being covered like the way LeBron James did or perhaps a couple small pieces scattered across the body like the way Stephen Curry did. Tatum is an interesting case as he’s in between these two superstars at the moment.

Tatum always wanted tattoos. His reasoning behind him wanted to get inked was because his father always had them and he ‘wanted to be like his dad’. The first tattoo the All-NBA Boston Celtics talent got was a tattoo on his wrists in 2017.
After getting tattooed on his wrists, he claimed he was in so much pain that he never wanted to feel that type of pain ever again. However, as time went on, he knew he had more things that meant a lot to him that he wanted engraved on his body.
What is Jayson Tatum’s back tattoo?
Jayson Tatum has a back tattoo that reads ‘God’s Will’ that he got in 2020. It spans from shoulder to shoulder and is the largest tattoo on his body by far. Tatum is a religious man due to his upbringing and so this tattoo makes quite a but of sense for him.

His other tattoos include a portrait of his mother along with him from when he was a child. He has a giant ‘98’ on his left knee with a blacked out star in the background. Knee tattoos hurt quite a bit considering that the skin is in direct contact with the back and despite his lower pain tolerance, he went ahead with it.
The 98 represents 1998, the year he was born. He also has what looks like an explosion with the words ‘St. Louis ‘til the world blows’. This is in reference to where he grew up and how deep of a connection he has to his hometown.
Jayson Tatum shoves a referee and doesn’t get ejected
After suffering an embarrassing loss to the Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers at home, the Boston Celtics fired back with a vengeance. They won Game 2 121-187 and blew the game wide open in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Sixers 35-16.
Jayson Tatum had a dismal performance as he had 7 points through 3 quarters on 1-7 shooting from the field. In the first quarter he would shove a referee lightly out of frustration and surprisingly not receive a technical foul for it. this seems almost unheard in today’s NBA.
