“Jimmy Is About To Be The Butt-ler of Many Jokes!”: Skip Bayless Berates Jimmy Butler For Abysmal Game 6 Performance

The Boston Celtics are right on their way to making one of the greatest comebacks in NBA Playoffs history. After being 3-0 down, they just won Game 6 in Miami and Jimmy Butler has not been able to do anything about it. It will also probably be the greatest meltdown by a player towards the latter end of the Playoffs when he was just one more amazing game away from putting Cs to bed. And Skip Bayless already feels like the Heat main man is going to be the ‘Butt of some jokes’ for it.

There was no comeback for Jayson Tatum and Co after losing three straight games and having to come back twice in Miami to take the series back to Boston for a Game 7. Here we are, having Derrick White put Game 6 to bed with an offensive rebound and putback with 0.2 seconds left. This is why Bayless thinks this will all lead to a Butler-trolling fest on the internet.

“Jimmy is about to be the Butt-ler of many jokes!”: Skip Bayless trolls Butler

Just after the half time point of Game 6. the veteran FS1 analyst came up with some wordplay and prophesized a tough time for Jimmy Butler if the Heat lost Game 6 because of his poor performance.

Jimmy is about to be the Butt-ler of many Internet jokes, the way Tatum is kicking his Butt-ler,” Tweeted Bayless.

At that point, the man who had been averaging over 30 points per game in the Playoffs before Game 3 was 2-of-14 from the field and 1-of-4 from the 3-point line for his 9 points in 3 quarters. On top of that, Bam Adebayo, who has been struggling since his 22p/17r Game 2, could not get it going in Game 6 either. The only All-Star of the Heat this season was 4-of-14 from the field for his 11 points.

NBA Twitter was already mad at the two.

“Can’t even begin to think what happens to Jimmy Butler’s playoff reputation if he blows this 3-0 lead,” tweeted one user with a Luka Doncic picture.

“Duncan Robinson showing more heart than Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in an close out game lmao,” wrote another.

Some came up with memes.

With the Heat having blown away three games, the jokes are about to become more frequent. The Heat are back down as the clear under dogs and have their backs to the wall. We’ll have to see if Butler and co. can respond.

Jimmy thought it was over too soon

After losing their first game at home this season (Game 4), Butler said he would have a beer and then go on his regular schedule to go get an away win (Game 5).

That came back to bite him as the Cs won Game 5. After Game 5, his post-game statement was very different, which caused fans to troll him. Now, the Celtics are forcing Game 7. It will be the most difficult away game that Jimmy will be playing as the face of a franchise. We’ll have to see if he’ll have another beer, or will Playoff Jimmy finally come to play on Monday.
