Donovan Mitchell jokes that Joe Ingles has a great insight on the game of basketball because he’s been in the NBA for over 25 years.

It seems as though their first-round exit at the hands of the Denver Nuggets in the 2020 Playoffs really irked the Utah Jazz as they have been bulldozing through the league this 2020-21 NBA season. Understandably so, as Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz were one Mike Conley 3 away from advancing to the second round.
The Jazz currently possess sole ownership of the number seed out West at 30-11 and are continuing to prove that they belong in the same conversation as the Lakers and the Nets. The Jazz, from top to bottom, feel like one of the most complete teams in the entire league.
They have their defensive anchor in Rudy Gobert, a spark plug 20 ppg 6th man in Jordan Clarkson, and of course their borderline superstar in Donovan Mitchell. Surrounding these guys with shooters like Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic has benefited them immensely.
Donovan Mitchell jokes about Joe Ingles’ age in an interview
An underrated component of the Utah Jazz’s roster make-up is the fact that all the players gel well together, resulting in great chemistry. Some may bring up the Mitchell-Gobert debacle from last March but it’s clear they have put that to the side. Joe Ingles and Donovan Mitchell are perhaps one of the funniest, vet-young star duos in the league.
In an interview where he was asked what Joe Ingles’s biggest impact on the team was, Mitchell hilariously said, “For a guy who’s been in the league 25, 30 years, it’s easy to say ‘his knowledge of the game’ or whatever.”

Spida’s go-to ‘roast’ on Ingles has been the fact that he’s old, for quite some time. Then again, 33 isn’t all too old when you think about it.
The two share countless moments of playful banter with one another as Ingles referenced Shaq’s diss on Mitchell a while back, claiming he was not a superstar.
However, amidst the roasts and jokes, both stars understand how important the other is to the team. After all, the Utah Jazz’s all-time leader in 3s made is currently on pace to have the single greatest true shooting percentage season as at otherworldly 73%.
