Skip Bayless claims that the ACL injury Kawhi Leonard suffered will require surgery and that he is most definitely out for the Playoffs.
The curse of the 2021 NBA Playoffs continues as yet another significant injury to another significant player has changed what could be of the NBA Finals this postseason. Game 4 between the Clippers and the Jazz saw Kawhi Leonard drop a solid 31 points to help stave off a potential 3-1 lead for the Utah Jazz.

However, it was during this game that he suffered a knee injury that kept him out for the closing minutes of the 4th quarter, leaving the onus on Paul George to maintain the lead that they had built. Luckily for Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers, not only did the Clips blow out the Jazz in Game 4, but held them off in Game 5 off the back of Playoff P’s 37 points.
As incredible as it was to watch the remaining Los Angeles team put up a fight against the Jazz without their leader, not having Kawhi Leonard is no joke. Without him, it may be impossible to advance further than the WCF, if they were to even reach the Conference Finals that is.
Kawhi Leonard will reportedly require surgery on his ACL and is out for the rest of the Playoffs.
Skip Bayless took to Undisputed to unload a bomb, not just on Clippers fans, but on NBA fans in general. According to Bayless’s sources, it is confirmed that Leonard’s ACL injury is quite significant and requires surgery to mend. This would mean is out for the rest of the Playoffs and possibly even the start of the 2021-22 regular season.

This of course, is a major blow to the Clippers as it was previously elaborated that they could possibly not get far in the Playoffs without the ‘Klaw’ by their side. However, with the Jazz missing Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell having a bum ankle at the moment, the Suns potentially losing Chris Paul to health and safety protocols, injuries may cancel out here and the Clips may have a chance.
To take it a step further, the favorites out East, the Brooklyn Nets, are quite banged up at the moment as well. If they were to make it out of their respective conference, then the Clippers may very well have a sliver of a chance to go all the way.
It should be noted that this report from Skip Bayless on Kawhi Leonard and his status for the rest of the Playoffs has not been confirmed by the Clippers or anyone of note as of yet.
