“Kawhi Leonard turned into Pandemic K against the Mavericks!”: Skip Bayless is outraged over the Game 5 Clippers loss to Luka Doncic and co

Skip Bayless goes ballistic on the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard for their lackluster performance in Game 5 against the Mavericks.

In a series that’s eerily followed the philosophy of ‘home-court disadvantage’, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks waltzed into Staples Center and snagged yet another road victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. Kawhi Leonard seems to have cooled off by a considerable amount as he shot merely 14% from beyond the arc and did not look like his game 3 and 4 self at all.

Paul George on the other hand had a set of costly turnovers late in the 4th; turnovers he blamed on getting fouled as he was seen waving his arms at the refs, hoping to get a foul called on the Mavs. Rajon Rondo was nowhere close to being a difference maker as he tied Zubac with having the worst plus/minus on the Clips with an abysmal –19.

Luka Doncic borderline embarrassed Kawhi Leonard and company last night as he dropped 42 points, 14 assists, and 8 rebounds on the Clippers’ head. With the Clips now on the brink of elimination, Skip Bayless seems to have had enough.

Skip Bayless calls Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, Pandemic P and Pandemic K, respectively.

The Pandemic P meme has been going strong among the NBA community on social media ever since Paul George bricked the side of the backboard off a corner 3 in Game 7 of the WCSF against the Denver Nuggets. Now, with Kawhi Leonard airballing a potential game-tying 3 in Game 6, Skip Bayless assigns the nickname to the ‘Klaw’ instead.

Skip Bayless does make a great point in that Luka Doncic had a lackluster performance in the 4th quarter of last night’s game, giving Kawhi Leonard and the Clips an opportunity to capitalize on the situation. However, due to careless turnovers and a crucial mistake by Terrence Mann in a handoff to Nicholas Batum cost them the game.

The Los Angeles Clippers will look to carry on the tradition of this series by winning Game 6 in Dallas to hopefully push a Game 7 back at home. With the Lakers also down 3-2 to the Suns, it will be interesting to see which LA survives and moves on to the next round, if either team does proceed to win two straight.
