"Kawhi Leonard will win at least one championship, but LeBron James will never win again": Skip Bayless rides hard on Clippers bandwagon while predictably dissing LeBron's Lakers

Television personality Skip Bayless believes Kawhi Leonard will win at least one NBA championship with the LA Clippers in the next 3-years.

Recently, Kawhi signed a 4-year $176M deal to return to the LA Clippers. The deal includes a player option as well.

The 2x NBA champion has had a bitter-sweet journey with the franchise so far. His first year with the franchise had an embarrassing semi-final exit against the relatively inexperienced Utah Jazz. The Clippers blew a 3-1 lead.

In his second year, the Clippers had a relatively successful season clinching the 4th seed in the western conference. Kawhi and co had a rocky start to the playoffs but were able to gather themselves.

The team under the new leadership of Ty Lue was able to come back from two consecutive 0-2 deficits in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, Kawhi had sustained a partially torn ACL in his right knee during Game 4 of the semi-finals, which would keep him out indefinitely. Despite this, the Clippers created franchise history by making their first conference finals debut this year.

In his 2 seasons with the Clippers so far, the 2x Finals MVP has averaged 26.0 PPG, 6.8 RPG, and 5.0 APG on 48.8% shooting from the field and 88.5% from the free-throw line.

The 2x DPOY recently re-signed with a 4-year deal with the Clippers. While talking about his future with the franchise on Undisputed, analyst Skip Bayless felt that the superstar would win at least one title with the Clippers in the next 3-years.

Skip Bayless believes that Kawhi Leonard would bring the LA Clippers their first-ever NBA title in franchise history

While comparing the two LA franchises, Bayless said, “I believe with all my heart and soul that Kawhi Leonard will win at least one championship for the Clippers in the next 3-years.” said the Undisputed analyst.

On the contrary, Bayless believes LeBron James will not win another title in his next 3-years for the Lakers, as he goes into his year 19, 2o, and so on. On being questioned by co-panelist Shannon Sharpe that Bayless had said the same thing when James joined the Lakers in 2018.

The former ESPN analyst said, “Well then they get the Bubble championship,” said Bayless putting an asterisk on James’ 2020 championship. He added, “Nobody wanted to go to the Bubble except LeBron and I give him credit for that. They bubbled up on everybody.”

Bayless believed the Lakers got lucky, as they got to play the 5th seed Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. The Heat had two of its main players Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic suffering major injuries in Game One of the Finals.

Though there is no doubt in Kawhi’s ability to win another title, it is surprising how Bayless completely negates the Lakers, especially since they are one of the favorites to win the title in the upcoming 2020-21 season.
