It has been an entire decade since the now Nets star Kevin Durant pulled up to Rucker Park in New York City 

Feeling old yet? We can guarantee Kevin Durant does at some level when he remembers this. The Slim Reaper is now 32-years-old. And as much as fans will hate to admit it, the player has officially entered the last stage of his career. There aren’t too many years left. 

Durant has always been an incredible talent, and an amazing player. But more than anything else, he is a genuine person as well, that tends to interact with, and give back to the community whenever he can. And recently, one of his most famous interactions with fans just became 10 years old. 

So, let’s celebrate that famous moment’s birthday, with a look back at just how incredible the day of it’s birth really was.

Kevin Durant dropped a whopping 66 points at Rucker Park 10 years ago 

Man, the Slim Reaper really has no chill. 

You’re telling us, that this man pulled up to the legendary Rucker Park in New York City, and dropped 66 points on an amateur team that had the misfortune of playing him? 

Usually, we wouldn’t believe any human alive could be so cruel. But with ESPN posting highlights from the day, there is no denying that it happened. Take a look at the clip in the tweet below. 


It’s funny how he looks exactly this dominant during actual NBA games as well.

Jokes aside though, when he suffered his Achilles injury, we were all scared of losing this version of the Slim Reaper. Thankfully though, those fears later proved to be unfounded. 

We only have a few more years to enjoy the greatness of this man. Let’s enjoy it.
