Kevin Garnett is considered a first-ballot Hall of Fame trash talker, but even he isn’t half as petty as Michael Jordan can be.

Garnett and Jordan have both got their own legends as trash talkers. In terms of pure volume and nastiness, Garnett probably has MJ beat. But if we talk about getting down, dirty and petty, Jordan undoubtedly takes the cake.
This was proved by Garnett on his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The 2003-04 NBA MVP proceeded to lay bare the GOAT’s hilariously petty way of talking trash.
Before going on to the petty part, however, the Big Ticket also talked about a more famous trash talking incident. This was when Isaiah ‘JR’ Rider got hot against the Bulls and a rookie Garnett started chirping to Jordan. This led to MJ exacting full revenge in the 4th quarter, wresting the game from the Wolves’ grip.
How Michael Jordan trash talks Kevin Garnett today
Jordan has an enviable head-to-head record against Garnett’s teams over the course of his career. Besides his rookie year, when MJ dropped 17 points in the 4th, he also has a game when he dropped 40 in 3 quarters.
KG says that this is a recurring theme when Jordan talks trash to him these days:
“Whenever I see Jordan he does the same thing every time…He palms my head and he says, ‘Remember the game I gave you 40 in three quarters?’ And then he has this sidekick around him and he’s like, Pull that up.”

Imagine being so petty that you walk around with a sidekick with the sole purpose of pulling up highlights of yourself! If what KG says is true indeed, the legend of Jordan’s competitive edge is enhanced all the more.
