"Kobe Bryant Was Nothing Short of Amazing": Darvin Ham Claims LeBron James' Talent is Greater Than Mamba and Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Lakers buried Memphis Grizzlies’ post-season hopes in a brutal fashion. Darvin Ham’s side came up with a plan and brilliantly executed it on the court. This was likely the best basketball the team has played in the last few years. Naturally, the 40-point win left the head coach ecstatic. Even After Anthony Davis’ exceptional performance, Ham couldn’t help but be amazed by the talent of LeBron James. In his post-game interview, he claimed that LeBron superseded even Kobe Bryant and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Lakers looked like a solid team today. They displayed experienced basketball and showcased a defensive front that should scare the league. If they can manage to continue this charge, no team will be too difficult going forward.

Though James’ stat line tonight wasn’t eye-catching, his hustle and defensive presence were undeniably crucial. Furthermore, LeBron set up some incredible plays that tore the Grizzlies’ defense bit by bit. Even the way he attacked the rim today made him look a lot younger. It wasn’t the kind of lethargic defense we saw from James before the All-Star break. This was classic playoffs’ King James.

Darvin Ham’s praise for LeBron James, although a little shocking, is understandable

Darvin Ham, following the Lakers’ Game 6 win, claimed in the post-game conference that James is an unprecedented talent. The head coach named Bryant and Kobe in his attempt to highlight the greatness of LeBron James. Ballislife.com posted the clip of the post-game interview on their Twitter.

While reflecting on LeBron’s reverse dunk and how remarkable he is, Darvin Ham had this to say:

“Kobe (Bryant) was nothing short of amazing. You know, Giannis! I’ve been around some top-tier, elite, top 5 in the NBA talent but LeBron, man. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

At the moment, there is no denying that Giannis Antetokounmpo still has a long way before even being compared to LeBron James. However, Kobe Bryant is a legend whose contribution to the Lakers franchise is unparalleled.

For a Lakers coach to claim LeBron James, who has only added one chip to the gold and purple’s portfolio may be a little unsettling for some. But in Ham’s defense, he probably compared Bron’s sheer athleticism and age-defying dominance. In that, it is true that LeBron remains incomparable.

The Lakers move to the Western Conference Semifinals

The Los Angeles Lakers have moved to the Western Conference Finals after an incredible performance. In the upcoming series, they will either face the Kings or the Warriors.

If the Lakers can repeat today’s performance consistently, they can likely present a winning campaign. For a team that was 2-10 at the start, this is an exceptional turnaround. The Lakers community owes Rob Pelinka an apology. He has proven yet again that he is capable of managing his mistakes and making this historical franchise worthy of its history.
