There has been a tussle recently in the NBA community, and it is a big one. Former 1st overall pick Kwame Brown is just about done being called a bust. And after he was ridiculed by Gilbert Arenas, hit back against him, before going at Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes as well. And of course, Nick Young has chosen to join in as well.
After he was ridiculed by Arenas, Jackson and Barnes, Kwame Brown put out a scathing minute rant on all three men, and the things that were said were indeed incredible scathing. And in response to that, Nick Young has chosen to clown on the whole situation yet again it seems.
Without further ado, let’s get into what was said.

Many may not like to say it, but it is impossible to get where even Kwame Brown did without putting in the work. And despite all that, still being ridiculed and called the bust since 2001 couldn’t have been easy to bear.
The former 1st overall pick has been relatively quiet on the matter for a long time now. But, it seems things finally boiled over recently.
In the video we mentioned earlier, he asked the hosts of the ‘All the Smoke’ podcast to talk about some real issues. Focusing in on Stephen Jackson for a minute, he asked him to ‘put out your blunt and pull your pants up above your ass”. Then, focusing on Matt Barnes, he reminded the former player that his wife had left him for Derek Fischer.
Then as he came to Gilbert Arenas, he accused him of stealing money while he was on the Lakers. And then he just switched off the camera with a slight smirk.
Many have said that Brown didn’t just cross the line, he leaped over it. However, Nick Young evidently feels very differently. This is what he tweeted after watching the video.

You can understand where all the anger is coming from for Kwame Brown. And it seems Matt Barnes agrees. This is what he recently said in response, on ESPN’s ‘The Jump’.
“I get where he’s coming from. He’s kind of been the butt of jokes coming into the league and not being able to live up to the No. 1 potential… I guess some stuff was said on the podcast… I didn’t say nothing or do nothing. If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at MJ for drafting you number one.”
With that response, we think, perhaps this beef, while blazing hot while it lasted, may finally be over. And we can’t help but think many will agree with Nick Young on the winner.
