“I don’t think he’s trying to get under anybody’s skin”, Kyle Lowry compliments Marcus Smart after their win against Celtics
“I don’t think he’s trying to get under anybody’s skin”: Kyle Lowry thinks Marcus Smart works extremely hard and deserves appreciation.
Marcus Smart started off the round 2 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs with a bang! He went 5/9 from 3 pointers and finished with a very strong 21 points, after a dull series against the 76ers. He continued his shooting stroke in game 2, scoring 6 3pointers, on his way to 19 points for the game.
Marcus is a terrific defensive player. His scoring may have cooled down in the last two contests, but he is not giving any easy buckets. He draws a lot of charges, is seen flopping on the floor a lot, and basically would do a little bit of everything.
A lot of people have called Smart and his style of play annoying. He gets into the body of players, goes overboard to sell contact, and players don’t really like that, but Kyle Lowry says otherwise.
“I think that’s how he plays” Lowry comments on Smart
Smart has been a troublesome player for his opponents and has the knack of getting under his opponent’s skin. Kyle Lowry doesn’t feel the same way.
Lowry on Marcus Smart: “I don’t think he’s trying to get under anybody’s skin. I think that’s how he plays, man. That man plays extremely hard. You have to tip your hat to somebody like him. You know what he’s going to do every single night. You know he’s going to bring it.”

The Celtics really appreciate the plays Smart makes, the heart he presents on the floor.
Raptors tie the series, what is next?
Raptors tie the series at two apiece with their 100-93 win over Boston tonight. They outplayed the Celtics and did not let their young stars get into a rhythm. Now the defending champs have found some momentum of their own and would give a great challenge to Boston.
The key to Boston retaking control is going to be Jaylen Brown. If Brown can find his stroke again, the Raptors would have a hard time containing a Boston team which has more than 3 people who can drop 30 points on any night.
