"Kyle Lowry could be the next All Star to get traded": Sources say the Toronto Raptors might bid farewell to their beloved point guard

Masai Ujiri and the Toronto Raptors could trade their All-Star guard Kyle Lowry, according to Twitter page NBA Central.

The NBA is a business. While player loyalty to their franchise is a thing every fan hopes for, sometimes the franchise lets them down. The Raptors trading away DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard is a huge example for the same. The NBA trade deadline for the season is approaching soon, and there’s a stream of rumors floating around.

The NBA trade deadline for the current season is set on 25th March 2021. This is a lot later than usual deadlines, which are mostly set for the first week of February. With no major superstar name up for trade, the trades before the deadline is mostly set for teams strengthening their benches.

“Toronto Raptors could trade Kyle Lowry?!”: Twitter page claims sources from within Raptors say so

After a shaky start to the season, the Raptors have now stabilized their season, improving to a 10-13 record. While the record may not be the best, it is enough to place them at the 9th spot in the East for now. In their recent game, the Raptors, led by Kyle Lowry, took down the Nets 123-117.

A rumor has emerged from the Raptors organization. According to an NBA Twitter page named NBA Central, the Raptors may put Kyle Lowry on the trade block soon. The page claims that its source is Bleacher Report, but no such report can be found on BR.

If the Raptors choose to trade Lowry, it leaves them with a very young roster led by Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam. It could potentially lead to a complete teardown and rebuild of the franchise.
