"Kyrie Irving, you stomped 'Lucky', that's not cool": Kevin Garnett berates Nets star for stomping on Celtics logo after Game 4 win

Kevin Garnett did not mince any words, talking about the less viral Kyrie Irving incident yesterday. He berated the former Celtic for his actions.

There has been very little by the way of good luck to go Boston’s way in the 2020-21 NBA season. They began the season with a last-second win over Giannis and the Bucks, but so far, it’s all been downhill after that.

They first suffered without Kemba. Then they suffered through Tatum’s down time after his Covid infection. Just when things began looking up at the start of May, Boston lost Jaylen Brown for the season with a wrist injury. Finally, they’re now closing the season out with a home loss against Kyrie Irving, who’s a mortal enemy for half the fanbase.

Adding insult to injury, Irving managed to compile a vintage playoff performance against Boston at the TD Garden. The reception he got after that, including the water bottle tossed at his head, is making some Celtics fans question their own fanbase.

However, Kevin Garnett seems to have a different take on all that transpired yesterday. While everybody is busy addressing the mentality that causes fans to throw projectiles at players, Garnett was focused on something else.

Kevin Garnett berates Kyrie Irving for stepping on ‘Lucky’, the Celtics’ logoman

Garnett is the last player to have won the Celtics a championship with his defense. Though he spent most of his career elsewhere, Garnett clearly bleeds green. This was apparent in how he refused to let Kyrie off the hook for disrespecting the Celtics:

“So nobody gonna say anything about Kyrie stomping ‘Lucky?’ We just gonna act like we didn’t see that.. [the f—k] going on…You can’t do that. That’s not [cool] on no level. All of us need to be better. I’m just sayin…”

Meanwhile, Big Baby and Kevin Durant feuded on Instagram regarding the incident and how it’s being perceived by NBA fans.
