Larsa Pippen Vehemently Denies $50,000,000 Claim, Maintains Nonchalant Stance Over Scottie Pippen's Pension Fund

Despite the negative attention on Michael Jordan’s son Marcus and Larsa Pippen’s relationship, the couple seems to be going from strength to strength. The two have started their own Spotify podcast, “Separation Anxiety,” which they have been using to talk about a range of different relationship-based and general topics. In the latest episode, the couple saw themselves talking about American Actor Kevin Costner’s recent divorce settlement. Costner’s ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, reportedly requested a $250k monthly settlement for herself and their three children.

Herself rumored to have received half of Scottie Pippen’s retirement fund, Larsa claimed that only the people involved know about the actual divorce settlements. She suggested that social media tends to receive accurate information, in this case to the tune of $50,000,000, claiming that she to date has no idea how much money she is entitled to, via the IRS fund. Scottie and Larsa’s divorce was finalized in December 2021. Much of the financial details were sealed, despite the public nature of the divorce. Now, Larsa Pippen has claimed that she did not even claim half of the 401K account that she was reportedly entitled to, according to Hello Magazine. Marcus agreed with the lack of information aspect, claiming that he once saw an article pitching his net worth at a whopping $500 million.

Larsa Pippen claims celebrity divorces regularly lead to social media untruths

Talking about Kevin Costner’s divorce, Larsa claimed that the $248k sum was justified if she was used to maintaining a certain lifestyle during their marriage. Marcus agreed as the two proceeded to talk about how public divorces regularly lead to inaccurate financial claims about settlements.

Mentioning her divorce, Larsa claimed she had not checked how much money she was entitled to via the 401K account. The reason, according to the Real Housewives of Miami star was that she didn’t need it:

“I think it is because everyone thought I would be getting half of my ex’s pension and IRA. I called my lawyer, and none of us knew what was in those accounts. I don’t care what it is. Let people assume what it is. I don’t need it, I am good.”

Moving on, Marcus agreed with his partner regarding the financial inaccuracies that are sometimes reported. He claimed that he once saw an article pegging his net worth at $500 million. This led to Marcus asking his father “where the money was!”

Marcus Jordan’s net worth was once reported to be $500 million

Himself a former basketball player, Marcus obviously was not as talented as his father. Still, he played for the UCF for three seasons before trying his hands at his own business.

In May 2016, Marcus opened a high-end sneaker showroom called “Trophy Room.” The store closed quickly and had to be transitioned into an online store subsequently.

Marcus is an influencer and internet celebrity. His background means that he is a successful entrepreneur currently looking for his next opportunity. Marcus was left stunned when an online report suggested he was worth $500 million. He ended up talking to his father in a hilarious attempt to clarify. Of course, the 32-year-old still has a long way to go to amass the kind of wealth his father possesses.
