"LeBron James and Maverick Carter become part owners of Boston Red Sox": Fenway Sports Group appoints Lakers star and his childhood friend as their first Black partners ever

LeBron James and Maverick Carter have been appointed as the first black partners with FSG. This makes them part owners of the Boston Red Sox.

LeBron first established a relationship with FSG when he bought a minority stake in Liverpool. The 6-time European champions have become 12 times as valuable as they were in 2011, reaching a market valuation of $3billion from nearly $250 million back then.

James will be declared as a minority owner of the Red Sox pending review by the MLB. Joining him in that vaunted position would be Maverick Carter – his childhood friend and business partner.
