Kyrie Irving recently made headlines as it was revealed he is trying his best to get LeBron James to Dallas. This comes following The King’s own comments regarding his future in LA and in basketball. However, he has a lot to lose if he leaves Los Angeles, as Shannon Sharpe pointed out.

The UNDISPUTED analyst commented on the news citing both Bronny James and Savannah James in his argument. He strongly believes that King James will not be leaving LA. Especially considering that his family has settled well into life in the City of Angels.
Shannon Sharpe claims LeBron James will not leave LA despite Kyrie Irving’s wooing
It is common knowledge that Shannon Sharpe is the biggest LeBron James stan out there. The NFL legend is a big fan of The King and has been a huge fan of his time in Los Angeles. However, things have changed recently after the Lakers’ recent Playoff exit.
Many are wondering whether or not LeBron will stay in LA following the team’s loss to the Nuggets. And, one team or player to be specific who is showing interest in recruiting him is Kyrie Irving. Uncle Drew partnered with LeBron back in their days in Cleveland and is now eager to renew that partnership.
But, Shannon Sharpe does not believe Bron will make the move. As he explained in a recent episode of UNDISPUTED, he does not believe The King will uproot his family from LA. Especially considering he uprooted his family from Cleveland to make the move West. Not to mention the fact that his son Bronny will be attending college here soon and that his wife Savannah has established herself well here.
“How’s he gonna make this happen Skip? I don’t think LeBron James uprooted his family from Cleveland, Ohio to come to out here to LA to all of a sudden saying, ‘You know what? I want to spend my final couple of years in Dallas!’ I don’t think he’s going to move further away from his family.”

Shannon sure is confident, but one thing is certain, change is coming and LeBron has a lot to consider. It will be interesting to see just what plans The King has for his future.
What does the future hold for King James?
As things stand, LeBron James’ comments following the Lakers’ Western Conference Finals exit is weighing heavy on everyone’s mind. The King made it clear that he seriously needs to consider his future in basketball. That being said, the chances of him leaving the Lakers are close to none.
He still has a potential two years left with the Lakers. And, with his aspirations to play with his son Bronny, LeBron might just wait out his contract and then decide his future based on who drafts his son in the 2024 NBA Draft.
There are a lot of things to consider for both the Lakers and LeBron moving forward. But, one thing is certain, regardless of where he is next season, he will still be gunning to put another ring on his finger.
