“LeBron James has turned into His Air-ballness”: Skip Bayless hilariously trolls Lakers star for his airball on a 3-pointer, contrasts him with Michael Jordan
LeBron James shot an airball in the Lakers’ 109-98 loss to the Brooklyn Nets last night, and Skip Bayless got on his back for it.
The Lakers were outgunned from range this game, making only 8 3-pointers on 30 attempts. The Nets, on the other hand, made 18 of their 39 tries for a 30-point advantage from distance.
James had a pretty good night overall, making 14 of his 23 shots from the field for 32 points. He also added 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Most of his points came from attacking the paint and taking advantage of the Nets’ weak center position.
LeBron also had a few highlights from mid-range, swishing some neat jumpers from the post area. Overall, there wasn’t much else he could’ve done to bring the Lakers within touching distance. But he also had one forgettable moment of lethargy, providing fresh fuel to the haters.
Skip Bayless ridicules LeBron James for airballing the 3-pointer
If hating LeBron James was a sport, Bayless would be the GOAT. He underlined that today with his statement on Twitter, where he addressed only his missed 3-pointer rather than his excellent play on the night:
“Jordan was His Airness. LeBron has turned into His Air-ball-ness. Seems like every game he shoots an air ball, as he just did vs Nets. Launched two at Minnesota the other night. Recently air-balled a free throw. Good shooters don’t completely miss the rim.”

James did start the season off really hot from the 3-point line. He’s also had a ton of clutch 3-pointers in their recent run of games. But Skip will always highlight his few lowlights rather than his many highlights.
Currently, LeBron James is shooting 37.2% from range instead of the low 40s he was putting up in January.
