In the last decade, LeBron James and Stephen Curry are the two most successful superstars this league has seen. Their Rivalry that started in 2015 has, in its own way, carried forward to this day. Currently, both the stars have 4 championships each. And despite their vastly different styles, have become comparable due to their success. Now that the two teams are going to meet again tonight, the rivalry and comparisons have been rekindled. Shannon Sharpe, who is openly a Bron supporter, in the recent episode of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, claimed that James is a lot more hated than Curry.
Undisputed is a strange show with respect to LeBron. While Shannon Sharpe is a huge fan of the Lakers superstar, his colleague might just be the biggest critic of him.
In fact, Skip Bayless has kept his career alive with his wild James’ takes. Luckily, Shannon keeps him grounded with his praise for James, and today he even brought up the kind of pressure and hate that LeBron faced from the moment he stepped foot in the NBA.
Shannon Sharpe believes LeBron James is more hated than Stephen Curry
Sharpe in the latest episode of Undisputed was talking about how both Steph and LeBron are beloved. While acknowledging how great both are, Sharpe couldn’t help but point out one difference.
He believes that LeBron James is the more hated one of the two. According to Shannon, even before James stepped foot on the court, the expectations and pressure on him were through the roof.
Meanwhile, Curry had none of those expectations. So when he rose to success, he became beloved but did not become as hated as James. It’s interesting Shannon put this point across with such passion in front of the infamous Skip Bayless.
Shannon Sharpe: “I believe they are both beloved but I believe LeBron is more hated… Steph didn’t have [LeBron’s] level of expectations even though he became the face of the franchise.”

LeBron and Curry both compete to have a shot at their 5th title
Currently, both LeBron James and Stephen Curry are tied with 4 championships each. This is their chance at acquiring their 5th. It’s almost poetic that they both get to meet in the conference semifinals this time.
However, for the first time, it is extremely hard to say who will be in it all. While James is surrounded by a great team with impressive depth, Stephen Curry has mostly been a one-man show this post-season. Maybe, it’s time LeBron again leaves Curry behind.
