LeBron James is playing in his 20th season in the NBA and still performing at an elite level. His longevity is greatly owed to his ability to stay healthy. What Lebron has been able to achieve at the age of 38 years is unprecedented.

James recently became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer by overtaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Widely considered the greatest player to play the game, Lebron holds multiple records to his name and seems to keep adding to the list.
Playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron has had another stellar season averaging 28.9 PPG while shooting 50% from the field. He is showing no signs of slowing down and has added another feather to his cap at the end of the regular season.
Lebron James is the league leader in fast-break points
Lebron James has become the leader in yet another category this regular season. With his supreme athleticism and finishing abilities, Lebron has the highest fast-break points in the season. In the 55 games played, he has averaged 6.2 points through fast-break.
Fast-break is a term used in basketball when the opposition team has a turnover or loses possession of the ball, resulting in an open run to the basket for the team. This type of offense is usually seen in teams who like to play fast and force a lot of steals.

This style of offense had become famous during the Lakers and Magic Johson era, and was famously known as ‘Showtime’. Since then, it has become an integral part of the game and was incorporated as an official statistic in the 1996-97 season.
Someone other than King James leads the NBA in Transition, though
The transition offense is a superset of the fast-break offense. It happens when the team doesn’t allow the opposition team’s defense to set before attempting a shot. This could be due to a fast style of play, turnovers, steals, or just a pass down the floor.
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has led the league in transition points for the past few years and remains the league leader this season with 9.2 points. Lebron James comes in second with 8.3 points.
With Lebron facing the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs, his ability to score quickly will be critical. It’s interesting to mention that the Grizzlies have the second most transition points as a team, while the Lakers rank sixth.
