"LeBron James, it doesn't work that way": Stephen A Smith eviscerates Lakers star for his tight-lipped stance on Covid-19 Vaccines

Stephen A Smith eviscerates LeBron James for his silence regarding the US Government’s Covid-19 vaccination drive and its slowdown.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d have come to know that LeBron is one of the few celebrities to have stayed mum regarding the whole Covid-19 vaccination issue.

Getting the vaccine is an easy way of joining the rest of the population with herd immunity. But LeBron hasn’t found it prudent enough to advocate for the vaccine – in fact, he hasn’t even talked about taking them himself.

Many people are construing his silence on the issue as his tacit approval of anti-vaxxer logic. James is already a clear-cut antivaxxer in several people’s eyes, though this crowd obviously doesn’t have his best interests at heart.

Stephen A Smith goes off on LeBron James

First Take host Stephen A Smith has been quite critical of James for his failure in promoting the vaccine. According to him, it is a failure of the King to use his position of privilege:

“He should be ashamed of himself, LeBron James should be ashamed of himself. It was weak, his response to it was leaderless, it was inexcusable for him not to provide a better explanation.”

“Everybody has the right to their own privacy, you don’t wanna let people know whether you took the vaccine or not that is your business. But there’s a whole bunch of things that LeBron James has elected to speak up about.”

“He felt these issues were a detriment to our community because he’s a leader and he wanted to bring attention, and a voice to matters he felt compelled to speak up. But on the matter of the vaccine, you got nothing to say all of these months. Nah. It don’t work that way.”
