“LeBron James stop lying”: NBA fans react to Lakers MVP saying he was seeing 3 rims w

NBA fans claim that LeBron James is lying about seeing 3 rims after having his eye poked at by Draymond Green in the Lakers win.

Last night’s game between the 7th seeded Lakers and the 8th seeded Warriors lived up to the inordinate amount of hype that was surrounding it. As Chris Vernon said, the game included two of the biggest names in the NBA with Steph Curry and LeBron James; so, a game of last night’s caliber was expecting from the reigning scoring champ and the reigning Finals MVP.

Despite Steph Curry being the clear best player on the court, it was LeBron James who came up with the biggest shot of the night, effectively sealing a Lakers trip to the first round of the Playoffs to face off against the Phoenix Suns.

A 30-foot bomb from James was the result of a desperation heave as the shot clock winded down and came after the ‘King’ got his eye poked at by Draymond Green a few minutes earlier.

Fans call out LeBron James for lying about having had his eye poked by Draymond Green.

Following the relatively hard foul from Draymond Green, LeBron James writhed in pain on the sidelines, as he claimed to have been poked by Green directly in the eye. He was immediately tended to by the Lakers staff and was given eyedrops to help ease the pain. Though the thought of being poked in the eye by someone is a painful one, fans are inclined to believe that James is exaggerating the extent of the injury.

Following the game, he claimed to have seen 3 rims while hitting the 30-foot jumper in Steph Curry’s face and that he simply aimed for the middle one. Fans were quite skeptical about this comment and said that he was just trying to build up the drama surrounding a shot that was already of the greatest this season had to offer.

It’s unclear whether or not James indeed was clubbed in the eye as hard as he claimed to have been but the shot he hit was nevertheless, one for the ages. The Lakers, off the back of the fadeaway 3 from the 4x champ, will look to go up against the Suns in the first round of the Playoffs starting this weekend. The Warriors on the other hand, will look to claim the 8th seed while battling it out against the Memphis Grizzlies in the final play in game.
