“LeBron James had a schedule like the President”: Kendrick Perkins gives major props to Lakers MVP on his work ethic while also singing Anthony Davis’s praises
Kendrick Perkins talks about LeBron James’s discipline and work ethic and praises him for it, along with giving Anthony Davis his props.
As LeBron James’s time in the NBA has gone on, he has surpassed the moniker of being simply an “athlete” to something bigger: an icon. The ‘King’ has transcended the boundaries of being merely an athlete who is expected to ‘shut up and dribble’ and play for his paycheck.
Sure, LeBron James is one the greatest sports figures in American sports history, but what makes him unique is his influence of the court. That influence largely comes from his ability to be very eloquent with his words while addressing matters that are near and dear to people.
James has the ability to invoke certain emotions in people by simply taking to his media availability. Kendrick Perkins talks about LeBron James and his skill in being able to address the media while also having a strict schedule.

In his conversation with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, Perkins opened about what he noticed about LeBron James when he was his teammate back in Cleveland in the 2017-18 season. He mainly praised James for his work ethic and his willingness to invest millions and millions of dollars in his body to stay in tip-top shape.
Even at age 36, the 4x champ hasn’t missed a step. He then proceeded to commend James for his professional demeanor off the court when it comes to addressing the media.

‘Big Perk’ would continue on by talking about Anthony Davis and what he saw in him during his stint in New Orleans. “He’s one of one. He reminds me of Kevin Garnett, not because of the raw tenacity, but because of his offensive package.”
Seems as though Perkins is a big fan of the Lakers championship duo and would bet on them to win it all again this year.
