Michael Jordan is one of the most successful NBA players ever when it comes to his finances. From his playing days to where he’s at now, being an NBA owner, he’s accumulated a net worth of over $1 billion.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a massive effect on businesses and people in terms of financial impact and the NBA legend was no different. Of course, the difference between Jordan losing revenue and someone in the working class being affected is different, but nevertheless, the former Bull is trying to cover his losses and Messi could help with that.
While Michael Jordan’s net worth remains $1.6 billion, according to Forbes, that’s a $500 million drop since the publication last reported his net worth in April 2020.
It’s possible that such a large decline is related to the GameStop stock saga. https://t.co/Ag0uQU8YmY

Lionel Messi Could Help Michael Jordan By Bringing Sales To The Jordan Brand
Michael Jordan had a net worth of around $2.1 billion before the pandemic, but that number has dropped 24% with it now being around $1.6 billion.
So, how can Messi help Jordan out? Well, in one of the biggest stories of the sporting world this year, Leo Messi was forced to leave Barcelona after the La Liga club couldn’t work out his contract issues.
Now, he’ll be playing for the French club PSG alongside football stars Neymar and Mbappe to form soccer’s version of a ‘big three.’
One important thing to note is that Paris Saint-Germain’s football kits are made by the Jordan brand. Since the 2019/20 season, Jordan has been earning 5% of the profits the club makes from selling PSG merch.
Now that Messi is joining PSG, sales will be going through the roof as experts believe that around 2.5 million shirts with Messi’s name are to be sold this year. Since Messi’s signing, the club has already sold about 120 million Euros of merch, meaning that Jordan would have pulled in 6 million of his own.
As the season progresses and more fans buy PSG jerseys and shirts, sales will only increase and Jordan will continue to increase his net worth periodically. The NBA GOAT stays winning.
