Michael Jordan kept trying to distract Michael Douglas in a game of golf by hilariously ripping the Velcro off of his golf gloves.
Michael Jordan and his competitive spirit in any and everything he did has been chronicled over the past few decades. A few examples would be the time he was bested by a friend of his in table tennis and so he spent 6 weeks training himself in a sport that does not even pay him. He did so simply because he could not handle losing at something.

Another instance where Michael Jordan was unnecessarily competitive was on the golf course. Jordan’s love for golf has been relayed several times since he came into the public eye. He’s participated in a bevy of friendly tournaments over the years and even beaten a few of his fellow athletes in the process.
The 6x champ even took Charles Barkley onto the golf course prior to their 1993 NBA Finals matchup just so he could sniff out any weaknesses in the ‘Round Mound of Rebound’s’ game. He, of course, covered this up with the ruse of wanting to ‘bond’ with the MVP.
Michael Jordan wouldn’t stop trying to distract Michael Douglas when playing golf.
Legendary Hollywood actor, Michael Douglas, recently told a story about playing golf with Michael Jordan. Knowing ‘His Airness’, the story would not be complete without some competitive tomfoolery from Jordan.
“I played a couple rounds with Michael Jordan and I remember being a fool once and accepting one of his bets on a putt. He wanted to make it some crazy amount- in the thousands. I’m not a big gambler. I lined up the putt and over and over, Jordan starts ripping the Velcro on his golf glove. I was like, ‘What are you doing?’”
“He (Jordan) goes, ‘Look man, if I can make free throws with 20,000 people screaming at me, you can make a putt with me making a little noise.’”
It’s unknown on whether or not Douglas won the bet against Michael Jordan but with the way the former relayed the story, it’s highly unlikely that he pulled away for the win.
