All 30 NBA teams will have special statement jerseys next season. The uniforms will feature Michael Jordan’s Jumpman logo which will be used in selected matches throughout next season.
And just when you read ‘Michael Jordan’ and the ‘Detroit Pistons’ in the same sentence, you know things aren’t going to be very pretty.
Michael Jordan logo on Pistons Jersey
Jordan’s Jumpman logo will appear on the right shoulder of the jersey and left leg of the shorts.
After the recent revival of the Bulls(and Jordan in specific)-Pistons rivalry through the ‘Last dance’ documentary, fans are enraged that a Jordan logo is on the Pistons Jersey.
A few Pistons loyalists feel that after what Jordan did to Isiah, by removing him from the ‘Dream Team’, such a move should be criticised to the core.
How can the Pistons wear a Jordan logo after him trashing the Bad Boys and blackballing Isiah off the Dream Team?
This seems like sacrilege.#BadBoys#DetroitBasketball

The Last Dance documentary specifically showed the Pistons in a bad light, with them being referred to as the ‘Bad Boys’. They were portrayed as a team that would tread the line of unsportsmanlike play to keep Jordan at bay.
Pistons’ fans reacts
Detroit Pistons on their official Instagram account revealed the grey statement jersey with the Jumpman logo on it. Pistons supporters were shocked by the announcement and posted their reactions.

One way around wearing the Jordan logo is to never wear these grey “statement” jerseys ever again. That would be best for everyone https://t.co/TzbVRygkg8

Pistons’ insider Duncan Smith also tweeted his reaction regarding the announcement in which he said: “The Bad Boys didn’t battle and bleed for this”.
