Michael Jordan is the king of taking the most mundane things personally. After all, there is a reason that even NBA greats from his generation had a rule of never talking trash to the man. But, no matter how volatile the man may have been in this regard, Kobe Bryant was never too far behind.

It’s hardly little known that the Black Mamba’s idol was His Airness, so of course, his petty side was always going to be replicated in some form or another. But what many probably didn’t expect, is for MJ’s petty side to be stoked to an especially high level any time he saw anything related to the man.

And unfortunately for them, a fan was once caught on the business end of this hilarious phenomenon.

Michael Jordan once called out a fan with a Kobe jersey on to play 1v1 with him in front of everyone

Even after the end of his career, Michael Jordan often held basketball camps that he personally attended until a few short years ago. And as you’d expect, while there were several campers, fans often came to watch it all go down too.

And on one occasion, MJ decided to do this with a very, very unlucky Kobe Bryant supporter.

That right there is absolute humiliation… only because he was wearing a Kobe jersey.

But then again, the fan probably wasn’t too torn up about it.

After all, how many people in the world can say that they’ve gone 1v1 against the GOAT?

Michael Jordan also had the most heart-breaking speech at the celebration of Kobe Bryant

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant may have stoked each other’s petty sides the most. But more than anything else, that was because they were closer to each other than anyone else.

So, when the tragic helicopter crash happened, of course, Michael Jordan was going to speak in his honor. And his speech couldn’t have possibly been more heart-breaking.
