"Michael Jordan smokes cigars that cost $500 a box": Bulls legend's fascination with cigars has only increased since his retirement

Michael Jordan is considered the greatest player of all time, but he does have a vice to indulge in. His passion for cigars sets him back a few bucks.

The Last Dance revealed for the uninitiated how much MJ loves his cigars. He used to smoke even during his playing days, but since his retirement, he’s obviously increased his consumption by a ton.

Jordan is a well-known lover of a good cigar and has been smoking daily since 1993. Now that he is no longer on the courts, he admits to smoking as many as six cigars a day.

Michael Jordan revealed his favored cigar brand in an interview with Cigar Aficionado

MJ gave his second interview with Cigar Aficionado a few months back. He revealed that his preferred brand of cigars is Partagas Lusitania. According to him, even though it is a large cigar, he isn’t opposed to something smaller. Jordan said he likes to utilize a variety.

Partagas is one of the oldest, most acclaimed brands of Cuban cigars. It has customers on its waitlist all the time, and they sell out pretty quickly.

A box of this luxury cigar brand will set you back by 500 dollars. This means that each cigar costs $20 per smoke, which is perfectly fine for any aficionado with the money.

Jordan was rarely spotted without a cigar in his hands all through his scenes in ‘The Last Dance’. It has become a part of his personality. MJ is far from the only famous basketball player who loves cigars.

LeBron James has also always celebrated his championships with a cigar in his hand, as has Stephen Curry. Lighting up a cigar after any major victory is pretty much a tradition, just like uncorking champagne.
