Apart from playing basketball and working out as religiously as he did, Michael Jordan played golf the same way as well. MJ’s favorite pastime (apart from gambling) also allowed him to play with the likes of Tiger Woods.

His Airness is not a typical amateur, either. The 6x NBA champion has a handicap of 1.3 which is better than most celebrity golfers in the States.
However, that’s supposedly not good enough for him to willfully wear a pair of cargo pants when he wants to. Not even when he nearly aced the signature par-3 17th hole at Shadow Creek Golf Course.

Michael Jordan almost aced signature par 3 at Shadow Creek Golf Course, but something else stole the show
If being one of the greatest athletes on the planet allowed Michael Jordan to do one thing, wear cargo shorts to a Golf course without people getting on his back.
More than a decade after the 5-time MVP of the NBA was first banned from a golf course for refusing to adhere to the dress code of the game of the rich, he is being mocked for wearing a pair of hysterically baggy, red cargo pants.
That too even after it looked like he had aced a signature par-3 17th hole.

But, actually, he hadn’t. Only his teammates’ reaction led people to believe he did. Meanwhile, the commentators were so busy mocking his shorts, that they didn’t give much attention to his tremendous hit.
They said he also fell 3 inches short of wearing pants. I’ve never heard somebody mocking MJ his hard. But goodness gracious those pants deserved it.
Jordan’s ban because of cargo shorts
Back in 2012, nine years after he retired from basketball, the GOAT’s visit to Miami at the La Gorce Country Club was cut short when he received a ban for his cargo shorts.
“Michael was wearing cargo pants on the course,” said a spy. Jordan’s multipocketed pants were apparently against the dress code that, sources say, dictates that members and guests must be attired in a collared shirt and Bermuda shorts. But when 6-foot, 6-inch Jordan was offered a chance to change outfits, he demurred.
“He was given the chance to change, but he didn’t want to,” a source said. The source added that Jordan, who was enjoying a round at the club with one of its members, played on anyway. The source added that members complained about Jordan breaking the rules and, “He won’t be invited back.”
Jordan’s representatives simply responded by saying it was the first time MJ received a notice and that it was La Gorce’s loss for banning “a great golfer and a great guest.” Indeed, it was.
