Michael Jordan is one of the richest athletes in the world. With a net worth of $2 billion, His Airness has accumulated his wealth through a variety of different avenues. From his time as an NBA player to his numerous endorsements, he has earned a lot of money.

To be exact, Jordan earned close to $93 million in his 16 seasons in the NBA. But, where he really made the big bucks was through his endorsements. He earned a whopping $1.8 billion (pre-tax) from his partnerships with the likes of Nike and Gatorade. Add to that his smart business investments and his immense wealth make sense.
However, what does MJ spend all his money on? Well, one of his most expensive purchases was a $50 million mansion. A mansion situated in Chicago, Illinois he is now struggling to sell. Even at a 70% discount.
Michael Jordan is struggling to sell his $50 million mansion even after listing it at $14.8 million
During his time with the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan was the biggest celebrity in the United States, maybe even the world. And, with such superstardom comes the odd fan with no regard for personal space. So, in order to counter that, Jordan invested in real estate.
The six-time NBA Champion bought a lovely mansion in Highland Park, Chicago. A mansion he reportedly spent $50 million to build. It is quite the marvel and includes a home theatre, a fireplace, a concrete patio, an infinity pool, nine bedrooms, a regulation-sized basketball court, a card room, a home gym, a tennis court, and a putting green.
But, oddly enough, His Airness is looking to sell the home. And, despite paying such a hefty price, the market hasn’t been good to MJ, who has listed the property at $14.8 million.
The disparity in the prices is amazing. Having spent $50 million, Jordan is essentially offering a 70% discount to potential buyers. It’s a wonder why no one has coughed up the cash.
Jordan is so desperate to sell the mansion that he even offered a pair of signed Air Jordans along with it
It’s pretty obvious that Michael Jordan is eager to offload his mansion. But, at this point, it looks like the Hall of Famer has tried every trick in the book possible. In addition to the 70% discount, Jordan even offered all the pairs of signed Air Jordan sneakers to prospective buyers, but to no avail.

As things stand, the mansion is still available for purchase. Hopefully, for his sake a buyer shows up and takes both the mansion and the shoes off his hands.
