It hasn’t been long since Golden State Warriors ace Stephen Curry announced his entry into the $7,800,000,000 spirits industry. Curry launched the Gentleman’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and is said to be involved at every step of the process, according to Lex 18. Curry was one of several celebrities to play at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, which was held from July 14-16. The 2-time MVP was in high spirits, figuratively and literally, during the event and was also seen sharing the same ‘spirit’ with fans. The ‘Day Drinking’ session coupled with golf seemed like a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Curry’s brand of Bourbon, which he so graciously shared with fans, is not the first spirit from an NBA star. Back in 2020, LeBron James launched the Lobos 1707 Tequila and Mezcal brand, which is said to have a net worth of over $100 million.
The likes of Michael Jordan, Yao Ming, and Scottie Pippen all also have their own alcohol brands that have proven successful in the past couple of decades. With a total industry worth of $7.8 billion, the spirits industry is highly profitable. With NBA personalities enjoying a global following, most of them are ideally placed to create success for their investments.

The same is true for Curry, who used the celebrity fold tournament to promote his own brand. Considered to be one of the most gifted players of all time, the 4-time NBA champion already seems poised to create a lasting legacy, even off the court.
Curry has a range of profitable investments
Curry’s net worth of $160 million is a result of smart investments outside of the NBA. His recent deal with Under Armour involves shares worth a whopping $75 million, singularly capable of pushing his net worth through the roof.
Curry also has his own production house in the form of Unanimous Media, which he established in 2018. The company works majorly to create content that is directly related to sports, and is also involved in his Disney + documentary “Underrated.”
