“My Hand Is Almost the Same Size As Michael Jordan!”: Hours Before NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson ‘Excitedly’ Recalls Encounter With $2.1 Billion Richer MJ

The NBA Draft is less than a day away. Being only a few hours away from the NBA Draft, the intrigue of the fans is at its peak. While the show’s headliner is undoubtedly Victor Wembanyama, there are several other talented players too. One of them is Scoot Henderson. The G-League Ignite Alum was once a top-pick contender but is now not even a lock for the #2 spot. However, he hasn’t given up hope yet. At the media availability a day before the draft, Scoot drew an interesting comparison to Michael Jordan.

Now even though Michael Jordan has finalized a sale and earned a hefty $2.1 Billion return on investment, he’s reportedly calling the shots for the draft, and well, this attempt by Scoot might just be a fact he found interesting or maybe it’s a hail-mary to avoid falling down to #3 pick, with Wemby and Brandon Miller ahead.

Scoot Henderson claims his hands are the same size as Michael Jordan’s

During his media day availability, Scoot Henderson got on the mic and was asked about a lot of things. One of those was his pre-draft workout for the Charlotte Hornets. Talking about his workout, Scoot excitedly made a statement that stunned a few people. Standing at 6ft 2″, the former G-League Ignite guard claimed his hand size is the same as Michael Jordan’s.

“My Hand Is Almost the Same Size As Michael Jordan’s!”

That statement in itself might not be alone to change what’s going to happen on Draft Night, but is a very interesting point, if true. In the 76-year history of the NBA, there are only 7 players who had hands bigger than His Airness.

If Scoot’s hands are actually the size he claims they are, we might be in for a treat.

Scoot has accepted a possible Portland selection

With Victor Wembanyama a lock for the 1st pick, and the Charlotte Hornets not needing a point guard, it looks like Scoot Henderson might fall to the 3rd pick. That means he would be selected by Damian Lillard‘s Portland Trailblazers. Not a bad team for Scoot, if you think about it. While he may not get the starting role, he can learn a lot under Dame’s guidance. Scoot felt the same way as well.

We’ll have to wait a few more hours to see how the Draft goes.
