"My heart is not sustainable for two OTs": LeBron James heaved a verbal sigh of relief after drilling a dagger 3 to secure for Lakers the W over the Pistons

Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar LeBron James shares what he said while staring at the bench after drilling the 3 to secure the Lakers win.

The Los Angeles Lakers closely avoided losing to the Pistons and handing them their 6th win of the season. The Lakers had a comfortable 17 point lead, but the 23 turnovers gave the Pistons a chance to force two OTs.

LeBron James took over in the Double OT, scoring 8 out of 33 in that time period. LeBron James led the Lakers, scoring 33 points, along with 11 assists and 5 rebounds. Anthony Davis added another 30 points, while Dennis Schroder added 22. For the Pistons, Jeremi Grant scored 32, and Josh Jackson scored 25 out of his 28 points in the second half.

“I was ready to go. I am 36 years old”: LeBron James

In the final minute of the Double OT, the Lakers were up by 4 points, when LeBron James decided it was time to put the game to bed. He drilled an ICE COLD dagger to call GAME.

At the end of the clip, we can see LeBron James is saying something. We had to wait till the post-game interview to get to know what he said. Rachel Nichols of ESPN reported that LeBron James was actually telling everyone how he can’t take so much anymore.

“I was just ready to go,” James said. “I’m 36 years old, and … my heart is not sustainable for two overtimes at this point in my career. I’ve got a bottle of wine at home ready to be opened, and I delayed it for two overtime periods.”

Even though the King maybe 36, he still seems to be getting better every single day. He has led the Lakers to a 18-6 record, as they sit on the #2 spot in the league.
