Damian Lillard’s introduction
The trailer stars Trailblazers star and NBA 2K21 current-gen cover athlete Damian Lillard. Based on the first look, the shot meter which can be seen when Lillard steps back to shoot should be the newest feature in the latest edition of NBA 2K. However, it is still unclear how this will impact accuracy and spin.
The next-gen cover of NBA 2K21 will feature rookie New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Willamson.
NBA 2K promised that this the trailer revealed to fans on Thursday morning, is “just the first of many gameplay-related announcements that will be rolling out through the upcoming weeks.” This could potentially mean that 2K will roll out more such short videos in the further weeks to come.
Mamba Edition
Also, those who purchase the Mamba edition of NBA 2K21 on PS4 or Xbox One will receive a free-next gen upgrade once they make the jump to the new consoles.
The Mamba Forever Edition is a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant. It will celebrate his incredible accomplishments which include 5 NBA Championship and being an 18-time All-star.
Dunks, Dribbles and Defence
The NBA 2K21 trailer brings a whole lot of excitement to fans upon first look. There are some incredible skill shots which feature some of the best in the NBA. The precision dribbling and skills displayed in the trailer surely makes your jaw drop.
However, it was the blocks and dunks which captivates. This year’s trailer also featured the name of cities across the world on the screen. Add this to the fact that the trailer feature many foreign players, and this could be a hint that this game is going to get global.
